In place of the limited style options that are available in earlier Teaching Solutions version of Style Manager, .NExT allows an institution to pick from any fonts, colors and other style elements that can be defined within a cascading style sheet. With .NExT, eCollege provides a set of template style sheets that can be edited directly by the EP and then uploaded through the Admin Pages by the Professional Services Style Team. EPs can also chose from the numerous, .NExT default styles that are ready to deploy, but creating their own will help them to more accurately reflect and match their public- and portal-side branding.
Institutions can choose to define a fixed look and feel for all courses on a per-node basis. They can also provide instructors with the option of overriding the node-level style with a course-specific style. eCollege recommends that administrators lock-down the Course style on a per node or program basis because it gives the student a more consistent experience as they move from one course to the next.
However, by granting this privilege in thee Admin Pages, EPs can allow the instructor to choose their own colors, button styles, etc. within the .NExT Course Admin Style Manager on a per-course basis. While instructors won't have the flexibility of defining a course-specific style sheet (as will administrators for the node-level style), instructors granted the right to change course style can select from any of the pre-defined, .NExT styles.

The .NExT Style Manager will allow instructors to choose from a set of color themes, design themes and fonts. When a theme or font is chosen in the Style Manager, the colors and look of that theme will automatically be applied to the course.

The first tab in Style Manager, Color Themes, offers eight major colors themes and for each color, four different patterns. All possible colors and pattern combinations are displayed in the screen shots below. When an option within Color Theme is chosen, that theme is automatically applied to the course.

Design Themes
In addition to the solid-color themes available form the Color Themes tab, instructors with access to Style Manager can also chose from several design-specific themes on the Design Themes tab. When a theme is chosen, that theme will automatically be applied to the course.

Fonts & Logos
Finally, the Fonts & Logo tab allows instructors to choose from a variety of font styles and sizes, link styles, link colors, and institution logo location.
