.NExT includes several improvements to the Email tool area.
Multi-Select Recipients
To select more than one recipient from the recipients list, hold the CTRL key while selecting each name.
CC Field for Instructors
A cc (carbon copy) field is available to instructor/course builders only. It allows instructors to include people outside of the course in the email recipient list via free-form email address entry into the cc field. This will allow an instructor, for example, to copy their administrator on sensitive emails to students.
Course code in Subject
The course code will be automatically appended to the beginning of all email subject headings for easier sorting in the user's inbox.
'Do not disclose recipients' (bcc) Option
By default, the 'Do not disclose recipients' (bcc) Option is NOT selected. Institutions have the option to set this as selected by default within a setting in the Admin Pages under Utilities, Course Tool Configuration, Email Tool. Choosing this option will select the 'Do not disclose recipients' (bcc) for both Instructor and Student email.
New Visual Editor
The cross-platform, cross-browser Visual Editor is available to students and faculty when composing their email message.
Multiple Attachments
Users can add multiple attachments to an email.
Confirmation Page
After sending an email, users will be taken to a confirmation page that lists who the email was sent to and whether it was successful.
