Updated Content Item Type: Microsoft Office Document
Three content item types have been combined to be the Microsoft Office Document type. When you are creating a new content item and you plan to upload an MS Word , MS Excel, or MS PowerPoint file into this content item, you select the Microsoft Office Document option from the Item type drop down list when creating your new content item.
From the author view of the new content item, you will be prompted to upload a Word, Excel or PowerPoint document. You have the option to later switch the Microsoft Office document type you originally uploaded with any of the other two Microsoft types. Office 2007 types are also supported.
